The Media Council of Kenya will host the Executive meeting of the World Association of Press Councils [WAPC] this year to coincide with the 2013 World Press Freedom Day celebrations slated for 3^rd May. There will be a major conference on 2^nd May and half day on 3^rd May and the Executive meeting on 4t^h May 2013. The last such meeting was held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania  on 6^th September  2012 where the Excecutive Secretary of the Media Council of Tanzania Kajubi Mukajanga was elected president of of WAPC.
